David Swinford
David Swinford joined Texas Strategy Group in January 2011 following a highly distinguished 20 years of public service as a member of the Texas House of Representatives. During David’s years of elected service he chaired or served on numerous important committees, including Appropriations, Agriculture and Livestock, County Affairs, Transportation, State Affairs, Government Reform, and budget conference committees. David also established himself as a principled advocate for economic development, wind energy, and agriculture to name three areas where he had a major impact during his elected service.
A graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Agricultural Education, David started and was president of Moore County Grain Handling Company, one of the largest independent grain companies in Texas for over 35 years. David is also recognized for his service to his state and community as a bank director, civic leader, church leader, school trustee, consultant, and family man.
