Fran Mangieri
Prior to joining Southern Strategy Group, Fran Mangieri served as the Senior Associate Director of Government Affairs with Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation (Novartis) on issues related to government, policy, and regulatory affairs. Fran’s career in government affairs spans more than twenty years responsibilities with Novartis included overseeing lobbying activities for the company in the southeast U.S. on healthcare, environmental, and workers compensation issues. In addition, Fran consulted Ciba Vision, which Novartis is the parent company to, on issues pertaining to the everyday management of their facility.
At Novartis, Fran also served in various other capacities, including District Sales Manager, Marketing Consult Manager, and Special Products Manager. While in those roles, Fran was awarded the Distinguished Performance Award twice, the President’s Club Award once, the Circle of Merit Award three times, and the Circle of Excellence Award once.
Fran’s community involvement includes serving on the boards of: the Central Ohio Epilepsy Foundation, Atlanta Branch of the National Kidney Foundation, and Georgia Arthritis Foundation. During this span, Fran has also served as a School Board Director for two terms.
Fran received a Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Political Science from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Fran completed his education at the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his certification as Certified Medical Representative.
