Carol Brown
Carol Brown has 20 years of experience in the Alabama political arena. As Vice President for Governmental Affairs of the Business Council of Alabama, Carol lobbied Alabama’s state legislature and coordinated federal grassroots efforts for the 5,000-plus member association, where she specialized in the complex healthcare issues facing businesses today. A 1985 Auburn University graduate, Carol began her career in journalism covering politics and healthcare issues for the State’s capital city newspaper, The Montgomery Advertiser.
Carol has an extensive background in Democratic political circles in Alabama, having worked as Public Affairs Director for the Alabama House Democratic Caucus and as Communications Director for the Alabama Democratic Party. During Carol’s tenure at the Business Council, she also was heavily involved in a number of key legislative races. Carol has far-reaching contacts throughout legislative and executive branches of Alabama government.
