Ryan served as Legislative Director for a Michigan State Representative before joining Midwest Strategy Group. In that capacity, Ryan assisted with drafting legislation, preparing testimony, and testifying on pieces of legislation. Ryan aided with constituent relations inquiries, coordinated volunteer events, as well as participated in House Committee and Subcommittee assignments. Ryan’s areas of expertise include education and energy.

Prior to his work in the House, Ryan’s career focused on campaign management, splitting his time amongst political, fundraising, and operational efforts. Ryan’s background includes serving as a non-partisan campaign assistant for a court of appeals race, finance assistant coordinating political fundraising activities, and serving in both political and communications departments where he specialized in voter contact, volunteer coordinating, walk lists, database management, and opposition research. Ryan’s operations department experience included larger scale events such as state-wide bus tours, gubernatorial campaign rallies, and several state conventions.

While attending Northwood University to obtain a Marketing Degree, Ryan also serves as a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
